Rich Central Campus High School Reviews

Like every institution, this school has it's ups and downs but overall is improving. The newly hired principal is excellent in his relationships with the students and has a great understanding of what the school is missing. As a graduate of RC and current college student I can say that the English department is one of the best and I found myself very adequately prepared for my college english coursework. The people who are complaining need to attend the board meetings and get involved to help change and better our schools instead of bad mouthing it. I believe that the schools that are considered 'the best' are those that have parents that care and take initiative to improve the schools environment by becoming involved with their childrens education and getting to know the schools staff as well.

I'm a 10th grader at rich central high school. I'm in all honors and two AP courses. I would like to state my rating...this school is doing nothing to educate those who want it. they are unorganized. and some of the teachers there are not helping the students fully understand the lesson. the district iis firing teachers who are actually teaching the students. the school is on acadmic probation. I don't know what people are thinking when they say that is school is excellent or even by saying it is decent.

I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised with this school. My child has honor classes and is doing very well. The teachers seem concerned with the students progress and are willing to help. I attend parent/teacher conferences so that I am involved and fully aware of whats going on. My experience so far has been pleasant.

Some of the teachers here are horrible. Instead of teaching they are just babysitting. We don't need babysitters..we need our kids to be educated!!!!

The school is an awful environment. This is absolutely not a learning environment, but rather, one that is the downfall of public school systems.

Terrific parent/teacher involvement. Wide range of teachers from those that are highly dedicated to those who use tenure as an excuse not to work. Difficulty keeping staff with an adversarial relationship between staff and a school board that is more concerned with cultural issues, which are important, but shouldn't eclipse education needs. School will continue to struggle until this conflict is resolved and consistent programs can be put in place

My son is enrolled in all Honors and AP classes. He is also involved in the school athletics. We have no problems with the teachers or with his coaches. I do have a lack of response when I e-mail the administration.

The quality of the academic programs are below middle of the road. Extracurricular activities are fine. My daughter was a National Honor student excelling in math and science and was ill prepared for college level courses in theses areas. I am looking for a better school for my current 8th grader.

As far as I know Rich Central is a very decent school. But, I do have a bit of concern about the safety and security taking place at the school. I have a nephew there and am very concern about their method of discipline and the blind trust that they have placed in the displinary Dean, Ms. Helen
